Committees & Group Coordinators

The structure of the project is the following:

STEERING COMMITTEE: Responsible for the overall governance of the project and management of administrative and budget problems.

Members are Heinrich Best, Pascal Chelala, Maurizio Cotta, Louann Haarman, Gabriella Ilonsky, Pierangelo Isernia, Claudio Radaelli, Hans Rattinger, David Sanders, Gabor Toka, Mariano Torcal and Thomas Boje (CINEFOGO Representative).

SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE: Responsible for the coordination and carrying out of scientific activities. It is composed of all coordinators of WGs and IAs and the Project Secretariat.

Members are: Paolo Bellucci, Heinrich Best, Maurizio Cotta, Lieven De Winter, Pierangelo Isernia, John Morley, Wolfgang Muller, Claudio Radaelli, Paolo Segatti.

WORKING GROUPS (WGs): They are responsible for carrying out the WPs within each of the 4 relevant areas of the project. Each WG has a coordinator and a small executive committee.

WG coordinators are: Paolo Bellucci (Mass), Heinrich Best (Elites), John Morley (Media), Claudio Radaelli (Experts).

ISSUE AREA GROUPS (IAs): They are responsible for ensuring that the groups communicate, for coordinating their activities when needed and for making sure that interdisciplinarity is reflected in the research design. One representative from each WG sits on each IA executive committee.

IA coordinators are: Lieven De Winter (Scope of Governance), Wolfgang Muller (Representation), Paolo Segatti (Identity).

MONITORING GROUP: A group of distinguished scholars to monitor the scientific performance of the project.

PROJECT SECRETARIAT: In charge of the day-by-day activities of the project. It is composed of the Project Coordinator (Maurizio Cotta) and Deputy-coordinator (Pierangelo Isernia), the Project Manager (Elisabetta De Giorgi) and a full-time secretary (Alice Mackenzie).
